During my Kothagiri trip by last february, I had ticked off many lifers. That includes this amazing and massive “Nilgiri Wood Pigeon (Columba elphinstonii)” too. Wanted to see this beauty for a long time and that got fulfilled during my last trip. Even though I have visited this place quite a few times and searched for this bird, I didn’t spot one. But this time, its all because of @aggalsivalingam anna and his knowledge on birds, it happened. Just looking out for Birds isn’t enough, we need the depth of knowledge and a connection with nature. Also I had a very good shot of this species in open perch, but I wanted to post this one first because, I always love these kind of spot light images. Hope you all like it too. 😊
